Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, at Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mom was mother at home. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began performing and singing from a young age. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6. This led to being contacted by the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired if she would like to work in show business. McCormick landed her first major job in 1964 when she starred in a TV commercial featuring Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the leading character on the play Wind It Up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the TV show she almost lost their virginity to sister Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. The woman said it might have been possible, but it was never the best moment to make the decision.
